DIY Kit Installation

The kit includes a cedar floor, but it is not a structural subfloor. Install on a hard surface such as a concrete slab, subframe with footings, or thick pavers. With 2 people, most installations can be completed in a weekend.

Tip: A past installation used 200mm thick concrete pavers as piers with a timber subframe (150mm × 30mm).

If you have limited building experience, consider hiring a handyman for assembly.

Quality & Finish

Natural imperfections, knots, and minor marks are expected with cedar. Given the long journey (multiple handling stages and sea freight), small bumps or scratches are normal. These can be easily corrected with screws or stain.
